Saturday was my second babyshower, this time with Miguel's mom's side of the family. We spent all Saturday cleaning, shopping, making the food, and decorating the house. Just like any other typical Mexican party, it was scheduled to start around 4pm but didn't start until about 9pm. We played a few games, ate dinner and desert, and opened presents. Presents included some clothes, toys, and bath items. Also a big heavy crib blanket, a special covered inclined pillow (serves the same purpose as a Boppy, but the shape is totally different) and a baby bathtub and changing table. The guests all read bible verses and explanations that corresponded to the gifts they brought, which was really neat. Despite the presents, food and fun, I'd have to say my favorite part of it all was having Miguel there with me this time to share it.
